April 7, 2007. Maeve has started cruising (although she can't crawl or pull herself up), and has cruised from the side of the tub to the bathroom cabinet. And check out her physique! 

April 7, 2007. Maeve has now perfected the thumb and finger pincher grasp and enjoys feeding herself. 

Maeve March 29, 2007. 

March 10, 2007. Maeve likes holding herself up, although she can't pull herself up yet, and is starting to reach for things to be able to move when she's standing. 

March 10, 2007. After lunch. If you look really closely there is a white blob in the middle of Maeve's lower gum. This is her one tooth. 

Feb 27, 2007. Maeve now likes to hold herself up standing, as long as an adult puts her there, as she can't stand up on her on. She's hanging her with Grandmom Shirley. 

Feb 24, 2007. Maeve feeding herself banana #2. 

Feb 24, 2007. Maeve now has a tooth, and has graduated to feeding herself banana. She grabs the banana and stuffs part of it in her mouth, mostly gumming off an enormous wad to swallow. 

Feb. 18, 2007. Maeve is now eating non-pureed food, such as banana chunks. However, she thinks food comes on a spoon, so Mike and Maeve were having a battle of wills to teach her to take food off fingers. Guess who won.

Feb. 4, 2007. We put Maeve under an extra-large jacket in the winter to go for walks. 

January 26, 2007. Maeve at 7 months and 2 days sitting in her pillow fort. 

January 21, 2007. Look ma, no hands! Maeve can now temporarily hold herself up without Mike holding on to her legs to balance her. 

January 13, 2007. Maeve enjoys sitting and playing, which mostly involves putting things in her mouth. 

December 26, 2006. Maeve is now a good sitter, but we still protect her from topples by having her sit on the bed. On the hard floor, she still sits in the protective circles of an adult's legs.

December 15, 2006. We were trying to get a photo of one of Maeve's first sits, but she decided to try climbing on her dad instead. 

December 3, 2006. Hiking in the Blue Hills. 

December 2, 2006. Maeve's started eating cereal - today she gets oatmeal. Yum.
